Hanging out with Gramps and Lounging

I just got back from vacation with my family and it was great, a really relaxing week. Early nights and early wake up calls from the kids. Not to anyone's surprise, I took over 600 pictures in a week, 500 being my nephew and my little cousin Grace but there are also a few others of the family.

In all the pictures I took there are two I absolutely LOVE.

I love capturing moments like this and realizing how beautiful they are. My dad lights up when he sees Billy and loves being around him. He talks to Billy as though he is going to respond so I can only imagine their conversation in this photo. The other one is just beautiful and my favorite of him so far in his 6 months of life.

You do have a way of capturing moments with your camera, Katie.
Those are great pictures - I loved all the ones I saw on FB, too - mostly yours, I assume!
You have a beautiful family and that annual vacation together will mean even more to your kids than you guys some day... Traditions and Memories are what make all of this so magical and not ever mundane.
